Contemporary Exploration of Historical Materialism:Thought Enlightenment of Professor Yu Wujin
Since the 1980s,research on historical materialism has made many important advancements and demonstrated the rational thinking of Chinese scholars in the face of contemporary social development and ideological changes.Professor Yu Wujin has conducted extensive explorations into the contemporary positioning,basic framework,and significant categories of historical materialism,opening up new theoretical spaces,forming new interpretive frameworks,and providing an important foundation for subsequent research.Today,reinterpreting Professor Yu Wujin's research is not about repeating or simply adhering to his conclusions,but rather about rereading Marx and re-understanding social and historical processes on this basis,to find one's own research directions and theoretical themes through"doing it all over again".At present,there are still many important issues in historical materialism that require discussion,particularly the need to study the existence and development process of capital,as well as related issues arising during this process,to extract philosophical categories,thereby gaining insights into modern capitalist societies and using this as a basis to analyze contemporary ideologies.This remains an essential task when returning to Marx today.
