Towards Internal Criticism:Academic Heritage of Professor Yu Wujin
Professor Yu Wujin draws on Hegel's three aspects of logical thought:the abstract or intellectual aspects,the dialectical or negative rational aspects,and the speculative or affirmative rational aspects.He proposes that we need to place the negative aspect of dialectics within the affirmative premise of intellect and the affirmative goal of reason,in order to avoid criticism falling into relativism and nihilism.Hegel's logical thinking form and Professor Yu Wujin's exposition of it contain intellectual resources for reconstructing internal critical concepts.Intrinsic criticism requires Kant's concepts of theoretical reason and practical reason,namely theoretical cognition and practical freedom,as the premise,Hegel's dialectical negative criticism of rational distortion as the intermediary,and Marx's liberation ideal as the positive goal.In this sense,internal criticism is the unity of internalization and transcendence,negation and affirmation,and the integration of Kant,Hegel,and Marx's ideas.
