Historical politics brings the understanding of the spatiotemporal coordinates of Chinese politics back to China, highlighting the pursuit of diversity through identity, regaining Chinese subjectivity, emphasizing historical continuity, and calibrating the identity coordinate system, which is conducive to alleviating the dual identity dilemma of Chinese political science and real politics.History is a natural resource of identity, and it is necessary to rediscover history. But history is not the only resource of identity, and the issue of identity is a modernity proposition that arises in modernization. The theoretical construction of historical politics must be placed in the practice category of Chinese path to modernization.Currently, the majority of historical politics studies have trimmed history, resulting in an imbalance of identity. In order to maintain the vitality of theory and continuously generate identity,it is necessary to adjust its historical perspective to present a core-periphery hierarchical sequence structure.
