The debate over"tradition"in literary history has historical significance.Literary traditions are part of cultural traditions and have been involved in debates in the discourse of nation-states.The analysis shows that there is a multidimensional interaction between a group of concepts and"traditions",and the intersection, balance and echo of various horizons form a complex and intertwined theoretical spectrum of various factors. In order to escape from the theoretical trap of denial and affirmation of"wholeness",it is necessary to examine the dual roles of cultural logic and social history on cultural traditions, the possible divergence of ethnicity or class as the subject of cultural traditions,as well as the different significance of cultural traditions for the natural sciences and the humanities.Among the three elements of national subject, cultural tradition, and social history, the dynamic national subject should be in the active position.
