The core of populist politics in Taiwan is political mobilization supported by the identity discrimination and moral binding based on the opposed ideas.Although carries the banner of"the people",the underlying essence of Taiwan's populism is identity politics.After using populism to mobilize and gain power,the Democratic Progressive Party transformed and attempted to reset Taiwan's political system for the benefit of its own elite group,in order to achieve the goal of perpectual governance.This marked that Taiwan's populism had left the"incubation period"and entered the"manifestation"stage.The deepening penetration of populist politics into Taiwan's political system has become a key factor affecting the evolution of Taiwan's political ecology in the future.
