An Analysis of Taiwan Authorities'Policies on Overseas Chinese Affairs
After the founding of the People's Republic of China,the united front of overseas Chinese has been highly valued by the Party and the country,and has been deeply affected by the overseas Chinese policy of the Taiwan authorities.Because of well-known reasons,the Taiwan authorities are competing with us in overseas Chinese affairs.How the Chinese Mainland responds to the harassment of Taiwan authorities'policies on overseas Chinese affairs is a key link in establishing a united front for overseas Chinese.Due to the influence of the thinking mode and political purpose of previous leaders in Taiwan,especially in recent years with the change of the political atmosphere in Taiwan,Taiwan authorities'policies on overseas Chinese affairs have undergone a fundamental change,and gradually evolved into a tool for the"Taiwan independence"forces to plot to split the motherland.Therefore,an in-depth understanding of the Taiwan authorities'policies on overseas Chinese affairs is of great significance to continue to strengthen the united front of overseas Chinese in the new era and deepen the actions against"Taiwan independence"attempts and for the country'reunification by overseas Chinese and people of Chinese origin across the world.This paper attempts to sort out the main overseas Chinese policies of the previous leaders in Taiwan during their term of office,analyze the development of the overseas Chinese policies of the Taiwan authorities,and provide reference for dealing with the harassment of the overseas Chinese policies of the Taiwan authorities under the current situation.
