The Development Experience of Taiwan's Backbone Enterprises for the Cultivation of Mainland's SRUI Enterprises
As one of the few economies which have successfully leapfrogged from low-income to high-income in recent decades,small and medium-sized enterprises in Taiwan have played an important role as"ant soldiers".And Taiwan,therefore,has been internationally complimented as the"Kingdom of small and medium-sized enterprises".In the perspective of new structural economics,the successful experience of Taiwan's backbone enterprises can not be separated from the development path based on factor endowment,comparative advantage and economic viability,such as focusing on a certain range of markets;strong R&D and self-sustaining ability;the broad global vision;participating in the global value chain and the beneficial cultural atmosphere of innovation.At present,cultivating specialized,refined,unique and innovative enterprises is an important support for the mainland's industrial foundation strategy.The new"small giant"enterprises and the"champion enterprises"are growing up and forming a gradient growth path.The development experience of Taiwan's backbone enterprises has important referential value for the mainland to cultivate SRUI enterprises.
