A Study of Taiwan Youth's Job Satisfaction in Fujian and its Influencing Factors
Based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs theoretical framework, this study conducted in-depth interviews with Taiwan youth who are employed or started businesses in Fujian, and used the research method of QCA to conduct a qualitative comparative analysis from the perspective of configuration. The study found that the overall satisfaction of Taiwan youth in Fujian is not high, with an average score of only 0.51(total score 1).From the perspective of a single condition variable, the variable"satisfaction of safety needs"is a single necessary condition that leads to the satisfaction results of Taiwan youth, while the variables of"satisfaction of physiological needs"and"satisfaction of respect needs"are sufficient conditions. The results of multi-condition variable analysis show that there are three conditional configurations that can influence the satisfaction of Taiwan youth, namely basic life-safety type(low-level demand-driven type),respect-development type(high-level demand-driven type)and multiple needs-policy type(mixed type). In the future, firstly,we should explore new ways about the medical treatment, housing, employment and social assistance of Taiwan youth in Fujian, and incorporate them into the mainland's social security system by laws or regulations,so as to improve the basic living standards and sense of security of Taiwan youth driven by low levels of demand.Secondly,Continue to develop the economy, deepen cross-strait economic and trade cooperation, expand the scope of vocational skills and qualifications directly recognized in Taiwan, and provide more and better opportunities and development prospects for Taiwan youth,so as to enhance the respect and development needs of high-level demand-driven Taiwan youth.Thirdly,we should continue to optimize the formulation, publicity and implementation of Taiwan-friendly policies.
