From Cognition Change to Identification Change:US Cognitive Warfare Strategy on Taiwan Question and Its Influence
To maintain its hegemony,the United States uses cognitive warfare as a new path to"use Taiwan to contain Chinese mainland",create a false narrative of"democratic Taiwan VS authoritarian China",and include Taiwan in the"international democratic camp",leading the international community to misunderstand that"supporting Taiwan means defending democracy and freedom."The United States also builds coalition intervention and collective deterrence,inducing other countries to concoct Taiwan-related bills in the name of domestic law,and attempts to promote the Taiwan question to be internationalized,camp-oriented,ideological and even"internal affairs of other countries."The Democratic Progressive Party authorities proactively cooperated with the United States,using cognitive warfare to weave an"information cocoon"and seize"brain control"to distort the national identity of the Taiwanese people.At the same time,they used the"tragedy card"to project discourse in the international community to seek"independence."In the future,the Chinese mainland should advance its defense front,seize the commanding heights of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence,and transform moral advantages into cognitive advantages to win the cognitive counterattack.
