A Starting-Up Strategy for Suppressing the Inrush Current of Low-Frequency Switches Based on Swiss Rectifier
Swiss rectifiers have the advantages of simple structure, easy control and high efficiency, and are widely used in data centers, industrial applications and other occasions. This paper introduces the working principle of Swiss rectifier and the mechanism of current vector synthesis, analyzes the mechanism of inrush current generation during the starting-up process of low-frequency switches, and proposes a starting-up strategy of low-frequency switches based on the instantaneous grid voltage to suppress the inrush current in the low-frequency switches. This strategy has the advantages of simple control, good suppression effect, and no external circuit. Finally,a 5 kW prototype was built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
