Research and Design of Millimeter Wave Voltage-Controlled Oscillator Circuit
In order to reduce the power consumption of millimeter wave voltage controlled oscillators, weaken the influence of phase noise, and improve the signal transmission performance of wireless communication systems, this study adopts the Class-B structure to design the circuit of millimeter wave voltage controlled oscillators. The bias of cross coupling is provided by the power supply voltage VDD,ensuring the reliability of startup oscillation. At the same time,in the circuit design process, this study also used two sets of identical varactor in parallel, thereby further improving the frequency tuning range while ensuring the high Q value of the varactor.A buffer amplifier has also been added to isolate the front-end and back-end modules of the circuit, reducing the impact of the back-end modules on the circuit. Finally, layout design and circuit post simulation were carried out in order to provide feasible references for relevant practitioners through this study.
