Exploration of Online Monitoring Technology for Grounding Status of Transmission Line Poles and Towers
Grounding protection measures are the key links to ensure the safe power supply of transmission lines. At present, the grid system mostly relies on manual methods to monitor the tower grounding condition, but in the treacherous terrain and bad weather conditions, manual measurement has more inconveniences, and the measurement steps are cumbersome, which makes it difficult to find the fault point in time,so the study of intelligent real-time monitoring technology has become an urgent need. Therefore,an online monitoring method of transmission line tower grounding status is proposed,in which the grounding patterns with different morphologies are normalized by measuring the grounding potential and the inlet current at the point where the fault occurs, and the average potential is used to calculate the grounding resistance. At the same time,by comparing the current threshold in the fault detection device with the tower grounding current,it is possible to determine whether the grounding is faulty.Empirical analysis shows that the method can more accurately determine the grounding resistance and fault location with high accuracy. This study not only helps to improve the safety of power grid transmission lines, but also provides a useful exploration for the development of intelligent real-time monitoring technology.
