With the intelligent transformation of power system,the demand for real-time monitoring and control of transmission and distribution is increasing,and communication technology plays an important role in this process.This paper analyzes in detail the application of General Packet Radio Service(GPRS),5G communication technology and wireless private network in power transmission and distribution monitoring and control,and discusses the limitations of these technologies,aiming at providing solid theoretical support for the intelligent transformation of power system and ensuring the reliability,safety and efficiency of power grid operation.
