Research and Application of Energy Storage Technology in Transmission and Distribution Network
Modern power system is facing complex energy demand and environmental pressure,and the large-scale access of renewable energy brings new challenges,and the traditional transmission and distribution network can no longer meet the demand.This paper pays attention to the potential and application of energy storage technology in transmission and distribution networks,especially the electrochemical energy storage technology represented by battery energy storage,and deeply studies the performance of energy storage system in improving power grid stability,integrating renewable energy and coping with power grid frequency modulation.The research results show that energy storage technology can effectively improve the stability and reliability of power grid,further increase the access of renewable energy,reduce power fluctuation,and alleviate the pressure of frequency modulation of power grid to some extent.
