Exploration of Neutral Point Grounding Techniques Oriented Towards High Cable Density Distribution Networks
With the rapid development of urbanization, the proportion of cable applications in power distribution networks has been increasing steadily, and cables are progressively replacing traditional overhead lines. However, many substations'neutral point grounding methods still rely on designs tailored for purely overhead line systems, which fail to adequately address the requirements of high-cable-density distribution networks. This paper conducts a systematic study on the neutral point grounding techniques in power distribution networks, providing detailed descriptions of their types, characteristics, and the pivotal roles they play within electric power systems. In response to the challenges posed by highly cable-dense distribution networks, this paper presents recommendations for selecting suitable neutral point grounding methods, thereby offering guidance to enhance the safety and stability of power distribution network operations.
