With the rapid development of power industry,the power system is facing various fault challenges in operation,so the application of relay protection automation technology is particularly important.This paper summarizes the relay protection automation technology,analyzes the specific application of this technology in generator,transformer,bus and grounding protection in detail,and discusses the implementation strategy and development trend of relay protection automation technology in power system,aiming at providing strong support for intelligent management and security of power system.
