Design of a Real-Time Inspection System for Transmission Line Faults Based on Fiber Optic Communication Technology
This article aims to design a real-time inspection system for transmission line faults based on optical fiber communication technology. The system uses distributed optical fiber sensors to monitor the temperature and strain of transmission lines and employs Brillouin Optical Time-Domain Reflectometry(BOTDR)technology to achieve precise fault location. The system is divided into 3 levels:the perception layer, the network layer, and the application layer, which are responsible for data acquisition, fusion transmission, and intelligent analysis, respectively.Empirical research shows that the system has a fault location accuracy of±3.2 m,an average response time of 0.87 s,and a reliability of 99.98%for 30 d of continuous operation, meeting the needs of real-time monitoring of transmission lines.
