With the continuous expansion of the power system, the safety operation monitoring of substations is facing new challenges. The article proposes a substation safety operation monitoring scheme based on fiber optic communication technology. This plan includes three aspects:fiber optic sensing network design, data acquisition and processing, and safe operation monitoring and early warning.By deploying high-precision fiber optic sensors within the substation, comprehensive monitoring of equipment status and environmental parameters can be achieved;Adopting advanced data processing algorithms and warning models to improve the accuracy and real-time performance of monitoring. The experimental results show that compared with traditional wired communication schemes, this scheme has significantly improved data acquisition accuracy,real-time performance, reliability, and anti-interference ability, which is of great significance for ensuring the reliable operation of the power system.
