This paper discusses the possibility of real-time transmission of centralized control operation data of thermal power plant based on 5G,analyzes the key links,and puts forward suggestions for building the system.The low latency,high reliability and large bandwidth characteristics of 5G provide technical support for real-time transmission of centralized control operation data in thermal power plants.The real-time transmission and application of centralized control operation data of thermal power plants can be realized effectively by optimizing data collection and preprocessing,constructing low time delay and high reliability transmission network,and realizing edge intelligent computing.In order to ensure the stable operation of the system,it is necessary to strengthen the top-level design and overall planning,improve the standard and management system and strengthen the construction of network infrastructure.
