In response to the demand for cable head fault warning, this article designs a cable head fault warning system based on Wireless Sensor Network(WSN).The system collects real-time cable head status signals by arranging vibration, acoustic emission, and partial discharge sensors, and uses an improved sparrow search algorithm optimized support vector machine model to diagnose and classify faults in the data. The experimental results show that the system has a diagnostic accuracy of over 95%for different types of faults, with a diagnostic time of less than 20 ms and a power consumption controlled below 160 mW.It can effectively identify typical faults such as cable head insulation breakdown, flashover discharge, and partial discharge.
