Sports Industry Helps Rural Industry Revitalization:Mechanism and Effect Testing
On the basis of theoretical analysis of the mechanism and effect of the sports industry in promoting rural industrial revitali-zation,a system of evaluation indicators for rural industrial revitalization and sports industry is constructed and measured.At the empirical level,we mainly use panel data from 31 provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities directly under the central gov-ernment in China from 2014 to 2021 to test the mechanism and effect of the sports industry in promoting the revitalization of rural in-dustries.The results show that:In terms of impact,the sports industry can assist in the revitalization of rural industries,and the re-sults are still valid after the robustness test;in terms of transmission mechanism,the sports industry promotes the revitalization of rural industries by influencing the improvement of resident consumption level;in terms of impact effect,the significant positive im-pact of the sports industry on the revitalization of rural industries has a non-linear increasing characteristic of"marginal effect";in terms of regional heterogeneity,the positive effect of sports industry in the eastern and western regions on promoting rural industrial revitalization is stronger than that in the central and northeastern regions.
