From Tokyo to Paris:The Cultural Symbol Narration behind the Media Communication of Olympic Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and the 2024 Paris Olympic Games,with a novel narrative way,has aroused hot discussion in the society,and also triggered our thinking about the different narrative of the opening ceremony of the two Olympic Games and what kind of deep meaning behind the narrative.This paper holds that the two Olympic Games have carried out the consciousness narration in a multi-path way,which continues the habit of the opening ceremony of the previous Olympic Games to show and publicize the consciousness of the host country based on historical,cultural and social issues.At the same time,the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games as an art project,different countries have their own characteristics of narrative art,but also have similarities.The narrative art of the opening ceremony of the last two Summer Olympic Games have adopted the coupling of classical and modern,the consideration of sensibility and rationality,and the coexistence of mainstream and new flow.Through the overall review of the opening ceremonies of the last two Summer Olympic Games,combined with the audience's hot discussions on the relevant opening ceremonies,this paper believes that the decentralization of the opening ceremonies of the last two Olympic Games,the expansion of inclusiveness from macro narrative to micro narrative,and the"relaxation"are cultural self-confidence,which is also the concrete expression of deconstruction in the post-modern stage.
