Battle of the Sex & Gender:The"Female"Boxers at the Olympic Games Paris 2024
On August 9th,2024(local time),Imane Khelif,who has XY chromosomes,won the gold medal in the women's boxing 66kg final,sparking a battle of the sexes.In order to further grasp the contemporary competitive sports view reflected by the sex & gender struggle,this paper combined with the debate,through the Olympic gender struggle of the cause and fundamental a-nalysis,reflecting on the development of contemporary competitive sports,it believes:Due to the difficulty of gender definition in the Olympic movement,sex diversity has increased the difficulty of definition,and human rights are difficult to fully protect,which has led to the emergence of sex & gender disputes.Behind the battle of the sex & gender lies an effort to ensure fair play,group honor,and early consensus.Finally,through the sex & gender struggle,we will find that the connotation,rules and development of con-temporary competitive sports have a changing trend.
