The Social Transformation of Family Sports Values in China from the Perspective of Individual Demand
Using ERG theory and in-depth interviews with 13 family representatives based on purposive sampling,it is found that in-dividual family sports needs are mainly manifested as follows:Survival needs focus on physical health, mental health and character cultivation;relationship needs focus on emotional communication and intergenerational interactions;and growth needs focus on test promotion and improvement of socialization skills. From the intergenerational differences,we find that the value of family sports has changed socially:In the history of the development of family sports, there is a process of change from health promotion needs to test improvement needs to emotional communication needs;based on the social factors such as the estrangement of family relationships under the spatial and temporal delimitations, the emergence of family conflicts under the intergenerational differences, and the shift of the center of gravity of families in the colonization of the world, more families now pay more attention to physical health, mental health, and moral cultivation.Based on the social dynamics such as the emergence of family conflicts under the spatial and temporal dislocation, and the shift of family center of gravity in the colonization of the life world, more families are paying more attention to the needs of emotional communication.Accordingly,we propose to promote social sports instructors to enter families, organize par-ent-child sports activities regularly and design intergenerational sports programs,as well as the future direction of China's family sports research, which is to take"individual needs"as the starting point,"family culture"as the background, and"intergenerational dissemination"as the background. The future direction of family sports research in China is to take"individual needs"as the starting point,"family culture"as the background color, and"intergenerational transmission"as the starting point,to fully explore the value of family sports and provide more appropriate theoretical guidance for the development of family sports practice.
