How National Sports Consumption Pilot City Policies Promote Urban Economic Development?—A Research Perspective Based on the Synthetic Control Method
This paper incorporates the construction programs of the pilot cities into the theory of social reproduction,constructs an e-conomic effect assessment model of the pilot city policy,adopts the data at the prefecture-level city level from 2010 to 2022,and ap-plies the synthetic control method and mediation effect model to portray the economic effect in detail.The implementation of the pilot city policy can produce significant economic effects.The analysis of mediating effects shows that,the implementation of the con-struction program can play the role of"demand-led"effect of urban sports consumption,which can drive the economic development of the local cities,and the"supply-pull"effect of urban sports production has the same effect as"supply-led".The analysis of en-hancement paths shows that,digital empowerment is an effective way to improve the economic effect,and can shorten the lag in the sports production process and exert the"supply-pull"effect.
