The Impact of School Credit System Construction on Banks Service to the Real Economy
Based on the perspective that bank loans are invested in the real economy, this paper empirically examines whether and how social credit system construction affects banks'allocation of loans to"virtual"and"real"industries through the panel data of local commercial banks from 2016 to 2022.The results of the study show that social credit system construction signifi-cantly promotes local commercial banks'credit investment in the"virtual to real"industry, and the mechanism of enhancing risk control ability, and improving the efficiency of operation services is the path. This facilitating effect is mainly reflected in the in-ternal characteristics grouping of urban commercial banks and more profitable banks,as well as in the external environment grouping of strong financial regulation and weak bank competition.Further analysis shows that social credit system construction and the digital transformation of banks have synergized to promote local banks'service to the real economy.
