W波段4路平面集成行波管

针对短毫米波有源相控阵应用,文中优化设计了 W波段高效率高频系统、低电压电子枪、一维阵列电子注平面聚焦系统和4路平面集成行波管拓扑结构,采用常规PPM聚焦系统制管验证了高频系统设计的有效性,设计并制作了 2路流通管样件,电子注流通率均高于85%,验证了一维阵列电子注平面聚焦系统的设计有效性.基于验证的高频系统、低电压电子枪以及平面磁聚焦系统,设计了 4路平面集成行波管拓扑结构,研制了 W波段4路平面集成行波管样管.测试结果表明,4路行波管电子注流通率均高于80%,相同工作电压(12.6 kV)下4路行波管输出功率优于10 W,带宽均达到6 GHz,增益均高于25 dB,具有较好的电性能一致性,为短毫米波行波管有源相控阵应用提供了新的解决方案.
W Band 4-channel Planar Integrated Traveling Wave Tube
For the application of short millimeter wave active phased array,W band high efficiency RF system,low voltage e-lectron gun,1-D electron beam array planar focusing system and 4-channel planar integrated traveling wave tube(TWT)topology are optimized and designed in this paper.The effectiveness of the RF system design is verified by using the conventional PPM focu-sing system to make the tube.Two channel beamstick samples are designed and made,and the electron beam transport rate are higher than 85%,which verifies the effectiveness of the 1-D electron beam array planar focusing system.Based on the validated high efficiency RF system,low voltage electron gun and planar focusing system,the topological structure of 4-channel planar inte-grated TWT is designed,and the sample tube of W band 4-channel planar integrated TWT is developed,the test results show that the electron transport rate of the 4-channel TWTs is higher than 80%,the output power of the 4-channel TWTs is better than 10 W,the bandwidth is 6 GHz,and the gain is higher than 25 dB under the same working voltage,which has good electrical perform-ance consistency and provides a new solution for the application of short millimeter wave TWT active phased array.
