The Value,Problems and Countermeasures of Ideological and Political Construction in English Curriculum in Higher Vocational Colleges
Integrating curriculum ideological and political construction into English teaching in higher-voca-tional colleges is an important manifestation of comprehensively promoting the construction of"Great Ideological and Political Courses".It is conducive to exploring the educational elements of English courses,and achieving guidance on students'worldview,outlook on life and values,promoting the inheritance and development of Chinese cultural elements and the sound integration and development of Chinese and foreign cultures,forming a paradigm for ideo-logical and political education in English courses and empowering the innovative development of ideological and po-litical teaching in courses.At present,the ideological and political problems of English curriculum in higher voca-tional colleges are still faced with many problems,which are manifested in the following aspects:teachers'con-sciousness of implementing ideological and political curriculum is weak;the traditional Chinese culture is not inte-grated enough in teaching contents;the teaching methods of curriculum ideology and politics lag behind;the evalu-ation system of curriculum ideology and politics is not perfect.In response,strategies for ideological and political education in vocational college English courses are proposed:firstly,grasp the"entry point"to enhance the ideo-logical and political awareness of English teachers;secondly,identify the"fit point"and enhance the integration and development of Chinese and foreign cultures;thirdly,seize the"key point"and innovate the teaching methods of English ideological and political education;fourthly,clarify the"starting point"and improve the evaluation sys-tem of ideological and political education in English courses.
