Research on the Application of Photo Art Therapy Group in the Improvement and Development of Self awareness of Vocational College Students
Objective This study focuses on vocational college students and uses photo art therapy activities as a medium to explore their impact on promoting the improvement and development of self-awareness among vocational college students.Method The experimental period was divided into two stages,namely from March to June 2022 and from March to June 2023.By publishing recruitment information,students actively registered and were random-ly divided into an experimental group(20 people)and a control group(20 people).The main observation indica-tors are:self-acceptance questionnaire,self-esteem scale,self-regulation ability questionnaire,self-identity scale,and Tennessee self-concept scale.The experimental group received 8 photo art therapy group psychological counseling sessions;The control group did not accept any experimental treatment.Result After receiving photo art therapy group psychological counseling,the experimental group members showed a significant improvement in self-awareness(p<0.05),and there was also a significant difference compared to the control group(p<0.05).In addition,the tracking results after four weeks showed that photo art therapy group counseling still had a sustained effect on the improvement and development of students'self-awareness(p<0.05),but this depends on the effec-tiveness of students internalizing the concept and methods of photo therapy through group counseling into their minds and externalizing them into their actions.Conclusion Photo art therapy is an effective way to promote the improve-ment and development of self-awareness among vocational college students.
