My View of"Jiao's Mother Dispatching Daughter-in-law"—Reading Peacock Flying Southeast
There have always been many viewpoints in the academic community regarding the fuse that caused the death of both Liu Lanzhi and Jiao Zhongqing in the Yuefu poem Peacock Flying Southeast,"Jiao's mother dis-patching daughter-in-law".Based on the research results of the poetry texts and related historical materials,it is found that the reason for"Jiao's mother dispatching daughter-in-law"is related to the fact that Liu Lanzhi,who is like"Daiyu",fails to meet Jiao's requirements as a daughter-in-law under the premise of revitalizing the fami-ly's needs,and her strong economic strength and unassuming personality pose a threat to Jiao's mother's power of speech.
