Objective To explore the effect of photodynamic therapy in the treatment of vulvar lichen scle-rosus.Methods From January 2021 to June 2023,86 patients with vulvar sclerosing lichen in Weifang People's Hospital were randomly divided into two groups.Combined with the clinical symptoms and signs of patients before and after treat-ment,the effects of mometasone furoate cream and photodynamic therapy on female vulvar sclerosing lichen were statisti-cally analyzed.Results The clinical symptoms and signs of the two groups were scored before treatment,and the differ-ence was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).The clinical symptoms and signs of the two groups were scored three months after treatment,and the scores of the patients in the photodynamic therapy group were lower than those in the mo-metasone furoate group,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of the two groups was 74.4％in mometasone furoate group and 90.7％in PDT group,and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.047).The in-cidence of adverse reactions after treatment was evaluated between the two groups.The incidence of mometasone furoate group was higher than that of PDT group,and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.001).Conclusion Pho-todynamic therapy has the advantages of good curative effect,less trauma,less adverse reactions and less recurrence after treatment,and can be used as a treatment for female vulvar sclerosing lichen.
