Objective To investigate and analyze the efficacy of laparoscopic cervicoisthmic cerclage in the treatment of cervical insufficiency and the clinical observation of patients with cervical insufficiency in twin pregnancies. Methods From January 2019 to December 2022,a total of 12 patients with cervical insufficiency of twin pregnancy were retrospectively analyzed. As the observation group of this study,15 patients with cervical incompetence of twin pregnancy in our hospital were selected as the control group, and the pregnancy outcome and neonatal outcome were observed.Re-sults The cervical canal length in the observation group was longer than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in abortion rate, premature delivery rate of≤32 weeks, premature deliv-ery rate of<37 weeks, gestational age of delivery,Apgar score of 5 minutes<8 points, low birth weight infant rate and neonatal intensive care unit transfer rate(P>0.05).Conclusion The improved laparoscopic cervical cerclage or trans-vaginal cervical cerclage has the same effect on the patients with cervical incompetence in twin pregnancy, and the spe-cific operation method can be determined according to the actual situation of the patients, but the anesthetic drugs during the operation need to be further studied.
