After World War Ⅱ,the US government(including the federal and state governments)took equality of status, encouraging competition, and pursuing quality as theirs main values.Starting from the supporting system, supervision system, binding sys-tem,guiding system and other aspects, they have gradually established a set of institutional systems that not only promote but also regulate and guide the development of for-profit col-leges and universities through the basic path of cooperation between the government and so-cial organizations.Under this institutional system,for-profit colleges and universities in the United States have achieved rapid development and gradually presented a rational develop-ment trend.Of course, the current institutional system needs to be further improved to fur-ther consolidate the equal status of for-profit colleges and universities, strengthen quality supervision over"Non-accredited"for-profit colleges and universities, enhance the market competitiveness of for-profit colleges and universities, and perfect the consumer protection, etc.Based on its construction achievements and the problems faced,it can be seen that the construction of the development system of for-profit colleges and universities in the United States is gradually stepping out of the"creation"stage and moving towards the"deepening and perfecting"stage.
