The Practical Orientations and Value Yardsticks of Differential Logic in Comparative Education Research
Under the influence of the universalist value orientation centered in the west,comparative education research in non western countries has long excessively pur-sued the identity of education while neglecting differences,resulting in a narrow research perspective,a rigid methodology of nationalism,and a weakened ability to serve education reform.It has also fallen into the development dilemma of academic dependence.In this re-gard,the differential logic of adhering to the differences in education as the ontological premise,paying attention to the complexity of educational relationships as the methodologi-cal foundation,respecting the subjectivity of educational development as the practical re-quirement,and realizing the sharing of educational interests as the value theory's purpose provides a possible new approach for comparative education research.Comparative educa-tion scholars need to adhere to the practical dimension of"equal dialogue in the world",by transforming research perspectives,updating research methods,enhancing academic auton-omy,and enhancing service capabilities,in order to transform the logic of differences into specific methodological principles and promote the common development of global educa-tion while respecting educational differences.Comparative education research advocates for differential logic,not to absolutize it,but also to follow the values of seeking truth,kindness,and love for beauty,explore the laws of education itself,promote good governance in global education to achieve common well-being,strengthen educational ecological justice,and jointly build a clean and beautiful world.
