Student Creativity Assessment:International Practice and Future Prospects
In the era of comprehensive cultivation of students'core competencies,cre-ativity plays a crucial role in talent cultivation.The pursuit of conducting comprehensive,scientific,and objective creativity assessments has emerged as a prominent topic in the edu-cational research area.Compared to the more mature research on large-scale creativity as-sessment abroad,China is still in the developmental stages within this domain.Four assess-ment approaches can be summarized from international significant studies:the thinking measurement approach that concentrates on implicit outcomes,the product evaluation ap-proach that examines explicit structures,the personality exploration approach that places emphasis on individual experiences,and the development promotion approach that centers on comprehensive competencies.By reviewing the mainstream assessment tools under these approaches,a comprehensive view of the prevailing trends in creativity assessment and valuable experiential insights can be provided for educational theory and practice in the field of creativity assessment in China.
