Construction of a Quality Assurance System for Teacher Education in Russia in the New Centu-ry:Context,Measures,and Characteristics
Influenced by such factors as the marketization and diversification in edu-cation as well as the transformation of the value orientation of teacher education,the promo-tion of"quality improvement"in teacher education has become one of the important tasks for Russia's educational reform since the beginning of the new century.To adapt to the de-velopment needs of the new era and enhance the quality of teacher education,Russia has put unremitted efforts into establishing and improving the quality assurance system for teacher education by means of improving the system of policies,ensuring the source of stu-dents,implementing the mechanism of professional incentives and growth for teachers,the mechanism of evaluation,and promoting the internationalization of teacher education.The construction of its quality assurance system is characterized by state-led determination,at-tention to the foundation of the source of students,emphasis on"collaborative cooperation"among multiple responsible entities,evaluation assurance reinforcement,and international-ization as the new driving force of development.
