Toward 2040:The Background and Pathway of Deepening the Reform of University Recurrent Education in Japan
Looking forward to 2040,Japan is facing challenges such as the shrinkage scale of higher education,changing demands in the job market and prominent needs for re-gional revitalization.According to AI calculations,deepening the reform of recurrent educa-tion is an important path to solve the difficulties in Japanese higher education and social de-velopment by 2040.Therefore,guided by the concept of lifelong education,Japan has envi-sioned local recurrent education platform,digital information sharing platform,key recur-rent education projects and courses integrating industry and education,using these as le-vers to promote the reform of recurrent education in universities.Japan adheres to building a lifelong education system with systematic thinking,allocating higher education resources based on evidence-based research,integrating lifelong resources with a learner-centered philosophy and digital transformation thinking,and emphasizing the cultivation of lifelong education hubs and talents.This can promote the integration of higher education into the lifelong education system and provide some reference for China.
