The Motivations,Strategies and Effectiveness for World-class Universities to Promote the Employ-ment of Undergraduate Students:An Examina-tion Based on the Framework of Structuration Theory
The superimposed effect of global problems has brought new challenges to the world economy.The uncertainty of employment situation is becoming increasingly prom-inent.Promoting the employment of college students has become an important mission of higher education to serve economic development and maintain social stability.Therefore,it is of great significance to investigate the motivation,strategy and effectiveness of world-class universities in promoting college students'employment.From the perspective of struc-turation theory,the study found that the tension between structure and actors lead to employ-ment predicaments of expectation,quality and structure.To this end,the world-class univer-sity,as the core link connecting multiple subjects,took capital supply as the breakthrough point to deal with the employment predicament of undergraduate students.By supplying psychological capital,human capital and social capital,they help undergraduate students to improve their employment competence and break through the employment predicament for them.Under the two-way interaction between structure and actors,world-class universities have formed a systematic practice model of employment demand guidance,skill training sup-port,and employment channel guarantee,which effectively improves the development quality of career planning,talent training,and university-enterprise cooperation.
