A Brief Analysis of Truncated Narrative as a Core Method of Ecofeminist Criticism
Proposed by Marti Kheel,an ecofeminist critic, truncated narrative shows that many discursive inquiries stop at the entryway of their investigations without delving into the roots, presenting an incomplete vision-a narrative out of context.Meanwhile, the perspective of intersectionality offers a roadmap capable of uncovering those"truncated"parts. It warns that unless all the truncated are retrieved, the existing concepts are isolated and fragmentary, and the resulting exploration, care and judgement will always remain imperfect.Perceiving the variety of truncated or omitted factors, ecofeminist holism seeks to reclaim these truncated parts. In its critical practice, the theories of intersectionality, truncated narrative and holism are developing into a triad wherein they undergird and take strength from each other.
