中国的外国文学研究与中国的现代化进程和中国现代学术思想的兴起密切相关;外国语言文学的译介、研究和教学同时关系到中国高等教育在近现代的兴起和发展.本文以上述两个相关为出发点,梳理考察英美文学研究在中国的历史进程,分析探讨由此产生的思想文化影响和问题.
Abstract
The study of foreign literature in China is closely related to the country's modern-ization process and the rise of modern academic thought.The translation,research,and teach-ing of foreign languages and literatures are also linked to the rise and development of Chinese higher education in the modern time.This paper examines the historical progression of En-glish and American Literary Studies in China from the perspective of these two correlations while discussing the resulting intellectual and cultural impact and consequences.
