Mechanism of Children's Ethical Enlightenment through Picture Books from the Per-spective of Brain Text
Picture books,as a form of children's literature that integrates multiple modalities such as image,text,and sound,play a unique role in the generation of children's brain texts and ethical enlightenment.When children read picture books,the generation of children's brain texts progresses through three stages:perception,cognition,and understanding,which mutually reinforce the three stages of ethical enlightenment,initiation,absorption,and ratio-nality-cultivation.The perception stage stimulates children's curiosity about the world,help-ing them distinguish between humans and other beings,and awakens ethical awareness.In the cognition stage,through the processes of abstraction and conceptualization,perceptions are internalized into brain concepts,helping children recognize essential human qualities,thereby deepening their ethical awareness.The understanding stage involves integrating and process-ing these brain concepts to generate brain texts,fostering rationality,and forming a systematic ethical outlook.Picture books not only convey ethical values through stories,guiding children to establish correct values,but also subtly promote their moral growth.
