本文以汉语CCL和英语COCA语料库中与"肘(elbow)"相关的认知隐喻表达为依托,旨在对汉英语中的人体隐喻词簇进行认知对比分析.双语语料库的检索结果表明,汉英"肘(elbow)"类隐喻意象共有11条代表性拓展路径,其中在空间、实体、动作和困境意象四个方面存在互通共性,但在文化背景的过滤和筛选下涌现出更多的个体性差异.基于以上语言现象,本文从体验哲学、语言世界观和文化特殊性等多元角度深入地剖析共性和个性各自产生的根源,并指出民族间日益密切的文化交流可能促发新的隐喻拓展类型.
Abstract
Based on the cognitive metaphor expressions related to"elbow"in Chinese CCL and English COCA corpus,this paper aims to conduct a cognitive comparative analysis of the body metaphor clusters in Chinese and English.The results of the bilingual corpus retrieval show that there are 11 representative expansion paths of the metaphorical images of"elbow"in Chinese and English,among which there are commonalities in space,substance,action and dilemma image,but more individual differences emerge under the filtering and screening in cultural communication.Grounded on the above linguistic phenomenon,this paper deeply analyzes the roots of commonality and individuality from the perspectives of embodied philosophy,linguistic worldview and cultural specificity,and points out that the new types of metaphorical expressions may be triggered by the increasingly close cross-cultural communication.
