Law-related Education in German Primary and Secondary Schools:Value Evolution,Contemporary Features and Reform Trends
German law-related education has a long history and complete system,which has a profound influence on the development of the country's legal society.With the progress and development of the society,its value orientation has changed from"democracy-and-law-as-end"to"democracy-and-law-as-means",aiming at cultivating"modern citizens who can participate in politics legally,orderly and rationally".The rule of law education in primary and secondary schools takes"social person"with comprehensive rule of law action ability as the curriculum goal.The curriculum content comprehensively covers three major fields:basic law,private law and public law.Various methods are adopted to improve students'understanding of laws and the ability to act to law.However,with time goes by,the law education curriculum in German primary and secondary schools is facing new problems due to cross-cultural context,educational digitization,and pluralistic cooperative teaching and research,which threshold a new trend of development.
