A Study on the Empowerment & Growth of the Winners of President's Award for Teachers,Singapore(2014-2023)
The quality of Singapore's basic education is world leading,which is inseparable from the professional support of teachers.Based on the empowerment theory,the coding analysis of the deeds of the winners of the"President's Award for Teachers"in the past ten years shows that the growth of outstanding teachers in Singapore has been empowered following the path of self-empowerment,empowerment from others,and empowerment for others.It has shaped a group of outstanding teachers under the self-production of teachers'identity,external empowerment from the individual to the organization,and the empowerment purpose from the perspective of multiple subjects.The logic behind the practice is that the tension between the individual and the collective is the organizational basis for the cyclic empowerment of teachers,the growth and empowerment of teachers in Singapore is becoming more and more socialized,and some important"others"play a decisive role in the growth of teachers,which may provide some enlightenment for China's teacher honor system and teacher education reform,and help the formation of educators and educators'spirit.
