Neuro-engineering Management in Architecture,Engineering &Construction Industry:Trends,Challenges,and Prospects
With the demand of social development, traditional engineering management models strug-gle to adapt to the growing complexity of projects.Neuro-engineering management is an emerging in-terdisciplinary field that combines brain neuroscience, cognitive psychology, management and other disciplines, providing new perspectives and methods for improving the quality and efficiency of engi-neering decision-making,controlling safety risks, optimizing human-machine collaboration. This paper systematically reviews the current state of neuro-engineering management research within the ar-chitecture,engineering,and construction(AEC)industry, focusing on five key research directions:engineering safety management, occupational health, architecture and landscape design, architectural environment perception and human-machine collaborative management. The primary challenges are also examined from multiple perspectives, including the lack of interdisciplinary theoretical framework, insufficient applicability of research methods, the scarcity of exploration of unconscious cognitive processing mechanisms in AEC industry, and the high potential engineering ethics and legal risks.Furthermore, this review prospects the future development trends, aiming to provide reference and inspiration for further research.
