The Impact of Sleep Deprivation on the Risk Aversion Ability of Construction Workers Within the Framework of Intelligent Early Warning Systems:Evidence Based on Animal Behavior Experiments
The promotion of intelligent construction technology has significantly enhanced the speed and management quality of engineering construction projects. However,it has also increased the com-plexity of project sites and the risk of equipment misoperation. In actual construction scenarios,work-ers often face the challenge of sleep deprivation, which can impair their ability to respond to emergen-cies effectively. To address this issue, this study conducted animal experiments to investigate the im-pact of sleep deprivation on workers'risk avoidance capabilities by establishing a biological model of sleep deprivation.Additionally, the study evaluated the effects of short-term sleep recovery on impro-ving these capabilities. The experimental results indicated that the duration of sleep deprivation signif-icantly influenced both the total duration of risk avoidance and the success rate of risk avoidance.Spe-cifically,the longer the period of sleep deprivation, the more pronounced the effects observed.Nota-bly,the impact of sleep deprivation duration on the success rate of risk avoidance was more evident than on the total duration of risk avoidance.Furthermore,short-term sleep recovery was found to en-hance both the total duration of risk avoidance and the success rate of risk avoidance across various levels of sleep deprivation, with the most substantial improvements occurring in the group experiencing high levels of sleep deprivation. This study provides scientific support for enhancing the life, health, and well-being of construction workers in the context of intelligent construction.
