Experimental on a New Technology for Rapid Dewatering and Solidification and Stabilization Technology of Heavy Metal Contaminated Dredged Sediment
In view of the low efficiency and high cost of disposal of dredged contaminated sediment and the low utilization of industrial solid waste-ground granulated blastfurnace slag(GGBS),a new integrated technology was put forward for rapid dewatering and solidification and stabilization of heavy metal contaminated dredged sediment with a high-water content by GGBS(denoted as PHDVPSS).And then,the practical feasibility of this PHDVPSS technology was verified and analyzed by series of tests.On this basis,the effect of GGBS on the treatment effect was further studied.The results show that:compared with the traditional technology,this PHDVPSS technology has obvious advantages in dewatering efficiency,curing strength and toxic leaching.Only in 3 days,the water content of sedi-ment can be reduced by nearly 50%,the UCS of 90-day treated samples was 11 times higher than that of the traditional method,while the leaching concentration was only about 2/3 of that of the traditional method.The increase of GGBS addition can significantly improve the treatment effect of the new tech-nology.When 30%GGBS is used,the water content of sediment can be reduced by 2/3 in only 4 days.At 90 days,the UCS of VP-GM-3 is nearly 12 times that of VP-GM-1,while the leaching con-centration is only about 1/3 of VP-GM-1.
