Risk identification of foundation pit engineering aims to analyze the proportions of the risk events and risk factors in foundation pit accidents as the basis of risk management and control.The normal statistical analysis depends on gathering numerous accident data decreasing the efficiency of risk identification significantly.The scientificity of risk identification is also affected by the integrity of accident data.The previous researchers have completed several statistical analyses presented in the scientific literature.Mining the information on the risk events and risk factors of foundation pit acci-dents and recycling the findings from the literature are scientific solutions.This study introduced the concept of literature information mining.The corresponding information was acquired from the gathered literature.The proportions of the risk events and risk factors were ascertained via the corresponding in-formation fusion based on D-S evidence theory.The novel risk identification method avoided the re-peated statistical analysis of numerous accident data so the efficiency was promoted.Moreover,the ac-cident data indirectly amplified increased the integrity of the data.The risk identification can propose suggestions for the risk management and control of foundation pit projects.
