Cultural Factors in the Costume Translation of Tang and Song Poetry
The description of costume in Tang and Song poetry involves the materials,craftsmanship,styles,patterns,accessories,and dressing traditions,reflecting the fashion and forms of costume in the Tang and Song dynasties.It also reflects the development and cultural connotations of costume,showcasing the unique aesthetic attitudes of those times and serving as one of the typical sym-bols of Chinese culture.The rich cultural connotations embedded in the costume descriptions in Tang and Song poetry make the ef-fectiveness of international communication of costume culture and the equivalent transmission of poetic imagery and aesthetic sensi-bilities of poems influenced by cultural factors.Based on this,this article explores the impact of cultural factors on the translation of costume in Tang and Song poetry from the dimensions of social history,pattern connotations,and Eastern aesthetics,aiming to provide translation suggestions and references for international exchange of costume culture and research in the context of new media.
