The purpose of this paper is to study the protection of intangible cultural heritage of traditional ethnic minority sports in Yunnan.Firstly,the concepts and characteristics of intangible cultural heritage and traditional ethnic sports are elaborated.Second-ly,the current situation of the protection of intangible cultural heritage of traditional sports of ethnic minorities in Yunnan is analyzed and corresponding countermeasures are proposed.Finally,taking the Lisu crossbow shooting sports activity as an example,it discusses its inheritance method and puts forward the suggestion of integrating modern art and science and technology elements into the cross-bow shooting activity.The findings of this paper show that the government should increase its efforts to protect the intangible cultural heritage of traditional ethnic minority sports,establish a sound system of laws and regulations,and at the same time encourage social participation to raise public awareness and protection consciousness.Through these measures,the intangible cultural heritage of tradi-tional ethnic minority sports in Yunnan can be better protected and inherited.
